For me being a Personal Trainer is the greatest 'job' in world. It does not feel like 'work'. Getting paid for something I genuinely enjoy doing - exercise and fitness is my hobby - and crucially making a difference to people's lives. It is a great feeling knowing I am helping, supporting and inspiring clients to change their lives and to live more active and healthy lifestyles. Today – as always – was a busy and action packed day. Lots of cycling, running, power walking and circuits including press ups, lunging and squats. Living life in the active lane. I wanted to share with you an inspiring exercise moment from training with one of my regular and inspiring clients this evening. We were training in the ‘outdoorgym’. The training session...

Who is up for a challenge? Who is ready to test themselves? For June, the #1MinuteChallenge is Plank to Press Ups. Please see my 'Give it a Go - Plank to Press Up' exercise series. The plank to Press Up provides a great core workout, challenges your Cardiovascular System and works your upper body. The aim of the #1MinuteChallenge is to see how many reps of an exercise you can do in 1 minute with correct form and movement. As a minimum, aim to complete the #1MinuteChallenge at least once per week. Ideally, aim to complete it 3 times per week on different days e.g. 1 minute on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Even better, commit to doing the #1MinuteChallenge once per day as a way of getting active - as many of my clients do and followers on...

I was recently approached by Susie Francis, a content writer and a fitness fanatic, who asked whether she could write some exercise and fitness related articles for my blogs, which I was pleased to receive. I am therefore happy to upload the second of her articles – titled “keeping Track – Fitness apps”. It is well worth the read. Enjoy. please see Susie's first article 'Does Group Exercise Help?'. If you started the year off with good intentions but are finding your exercise routine is flagging, it might be time to invest in a fitness app to help keep you motivated and on track to meet your goals. Fitness apps have grown in popularity in recent years as people use them for everything from keeping track of their exercise progress, giving...
