The Number of Calories in Every Alcoholic Drink

The Number of Calories in Every Alcoholic Drink

Informative and thought-provoking infographic from Cosmopolitan.com which highlights and shows the number of calories on average contained in a wide range of different alcoholic drinks.

For instance, the infographic shows that:

- Champagne, Vodka and Gin contain 96 calories per serving

- White Wine contains 121 calories and Red Wine 125 calories per seving

- Beer contains 145 calories and Hard Cider contains 150 calories per serving.

This highlights that the Calories contained in alcohol can soon add up without us realising. For instance, consuming say 5 beers would equate to 725 calories. Therefore, the calories contained in alcohol can often be labelled as 'empty' calories and a useful starting point with our weight-loss goals is to reduce our consumption of alcohol.
