Build exercise into your commute to and/or from work. Run, Cycle, Walk all or some of the journey. Get off the bus a stop early, park further from work, keep change of fresh clothes at work etc. Great for body and mind and saves money too.
The Best Fitness Tracker
In today's high-tech world, it seems like everywhere you look, someone has a fitness tracker on their wrist. Popularity for these health and exercise devices has skyrocketed for anyone looking to better monitor and track their health and activity levels including steps, sleep, heart rate and calories burned.
But with all the options out there, it’s easy to get lost in the hype and to be unsure (and maybe even confused) as to which device and tracker is best and most convenient.
Therefore, I was pleased when Lexi Watkins from Reviews.com told me that they had spent 6 months testing and evaluating 86 fitness trackers currently on the market to help us make more informed choices when choosing fitness trackers. With the help of fitness experts, they evaluated everything from sensor accuracy and battery life, to band style and comfort, to health tracking ability and levels.
The aim was to investigate and find out which fitness trackers were the simplest to use, the most comfortable to wear, and that offered the most useful data.
Lexi informed me that the team personally tested their finalists to come up with the top three picks from 3 categories:
1) Best overall - Garmin Vivosmart HR+
2) Heart-rate monitoring - FitBit Charge 2
3) Most budget-friendly - Garmin Vivofit 3
The informative, detailed and concise article puts nine of the 'top' models through three trials of four different tests, which showed that even the best fitness trackers aren’t very accurate — but a few are at least consistent.

Fitness trackers enable us to make changes to our health and activity levels by giving us consistent (although it seems not always accurate) data on our daily activity levels e.g. Steps, heart rate, calories etc. That’s why from experience both personally and with my PT clients the 'best' devices are comfortable, convenient and easy to use all day, every day.
High 5,
Matt
