I  was pleased when Lexi Watkins from Reviews.com contacted me to see whether I would be interested in sharing the extensive and detailed research they had done on exercise bikes, with the aim of finding which is the 'best' one. Review.com has conducted the research by looking at 157 different exercise bikes and chosing the 16 'best' to review based on 53 features. As Review.com say "The best exercise bikes on the market deliver the functionality and adjustability most users need to get a quality workout".

The infographic shows that for all 3 levels of exercise intensity that running burns the most calories followed by cycling and swimming.

Inspiring exercise moment - Steep hill cycling challenge

For me being a Personal Trainer is the greatest 'job' in world. It does not feel like 'work'. Getting paid for something I genuinely enjoy doing - exercise and fitness is my hobby - and crucially making a difference to people's lives. It is a great feeling knowing I am helping, supporting and inspiring clients to change their lives and to live more active and healthy lifestyles.

Today – as always – was a busy and action packed day. Lots of cycling, running, power walking and circuits including press ups, lunging and squats. Living life in the active lane.

What's the best way to commute?

As a personal trainer and keen cyclist I am constantly encouraging people to get fit and active whilst making a journey they usually make most days Monday to Friday. Cycling to and from work is not only a great way to get your exercise done but it also helps you to save money, is good for the environment and helps to to feel energised for the day ahead and unwind after work.
