Weekly Exercise Plan

What are your exercise plans and goals this coming week? What do you want to achieve this week with your exercise and workouts? Have you planned your training days and prepared your meals?

Another week of opportunity is here. Opportunity to achieve a Personal Best, to try a new sport, to give a new exercise a go etc. Grasp it and seize every opportunity. Don't stand still. Look to continually improve and raise your fitness targets.

Get Fitter, Make Friends, Increase your Confidence & Feel Better

If your days drag on with no meaning, you feel lethargic or you struggle to keep up with the kids in the park, or that super fit friend you crazily agreed to go for a run with, maybe it’s time to reconsider your fitness regime. Put down the TV remote, get off the sofa, put that upbeat playlist on your ipod and start working out!

Inspiring exercise moment - Uphill running challenge

For me being a Personal Trainer is the greatest 'job' in world. It does not feel like 'work'. Getting paid for something I genuinely enjoy doing - exercise and fitness is my hobby - and crucially making a difference to people's lives. It is a great feeling knowing I am helping, supporting and inspiring clients to change their lives and to live more active and healthy lifestyles.

Today – as always – was a busy and action packed day. Lots of cycling, running, power walking and circuits including press ups, lunging and squats. Living life in the active lane.

Keeping Track: Fitness Apps

I was recently approached by Susie Francis, a content writer and a fitness fanatic, who asked whether she could write some exercise and fitness related articles for my blogs, which I was pleased to receive. I am therefore happy to upload the second of her articles – titled “keeping Track – Fitness apps”. It is well worth the read. Enjoy. please see Susie's first article 'Does Group Exercise Help?'.

Rest to Progress

From my experience of working with clients, in order to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, the 3 key areas to focus on are training, nutrition and rest/recovery. However, a crucial component that people often overlook is rest/recovery. Rest days should form a vital part of your training programme. People often assume (wrongly) that you get stronger and fitter whilst training, for instance in the gym or going running.
